An
Elegant Extension for Russian Standard
Allied Glass Containers has recently developed the range
of containers it supplies to the Moscow based Russian
Standard Company, with the production of a new proprietary
flask for their premium spirit, Russian Standard Vodka.
Designed
for production by Allied Glass, the 375ml flasks were
inspired by the existing range of containers supplied
by the Leeds bottle maker, and therefore use the same
shape, inspired by the giant bell in the Kremlin, intricate
embossing and Thermalcure glass coating to reflect the
premium nature of the product. Phillip Morris, Allied
Glass Containers' Sales Manager, says:
"The
close partnership we have fostered with the Russian
Standard Company enabled us to quickly take the bottles
from their initial concepts through to the finished
containers. Our CAD/CAM facilities also made it possible
for us to visualise the facets of the new flasks, ensuring
that we maintained the brands' stylish and distinctive
packaging."
The vodka, which is targeted at young professional males,
is exported from Russia throughout Europe and to America,
and has experienced tremendous growth since its launch,
Vadim Chistov New Product Development Manager for the
brand, concludes:
"Having previously worked very successfully
with Allied Glass Containers, it has been a natural
progression to develop this new container with them.
The support and technical knowledge offered, giving
us reassurance of achieving a premium quality product."
